SSC GD Constable 2026 Photo, Signature and Thumb Requirements
The SSC GD Constable examination recruits candidates for General Duty posts in BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, and other paramilitary forces. Unlike other SSC exams, SSC GD requires three documents: photograph, signature, and left thumb impression.
Photo Requirements
Your SSC GD photograph must be 200 x 240 pixels with file size between 20KB and 50KB in JPG format. Use a white or light colored background. Your face should be clearly visible with a neutral expression. Remove any headgear (except for religious purposes) and spectacles.
Signature Requirements
The signature for SSC GD must be 240 x 80 pixels with file size between 10KB and 20KB in JPG format. Sign with a black ink pen on white paper. The signature should be in your natural handwriting and must match the signature you will provide during document verification.
Left Thumb Impression (Unique to SSC GD)
SSC GD is one of the few SSC exams that requires a left thumb impression. The specifications are 240 x 240 pixels with file size between 20KB and 50KB. Use a blue or black ink pad. Press your left thumb firmly on the ink pad, then press it on plain white paper. Scan the impression and resize using our tool.
