SSC MTS 2026 Photo and Signature Guidelines
The Staff Selection Commission Multi Tasking Staff (SSC MTS) examination recruits candidates for Group C non-technical posts in various central government offices. The 2026 application process requires candidates to upload a photograph and signature in specific dimensions and file sizes.
Photo Specifications
For SSC MTS 2026, the photograph must be exactly 200 x 230 pixels with file size between 20KB and 50KB in JPG format. These specifications are identical to SSC CHSL requirements. Use a recent color photograph with white or light background.
Signature Specifications
The signature must be 140 x 60 pixels with file size between 10KB and 20KB in JPG format. Sign with a black ink pen on white paper in cursive. Do not write in capital or block letters as this will cause rejection.
Important Notes for SSC MTS Applicants
- The photo must be taken within the last 3 months
- Face should cover at least 60-70% of the frame
- Both ears should be visible
- No filters or heavy editing on the photograph
- Signature must match across all stages of the examination
- Keep a backup of your resized files in case you need to re-upload
Reusing Photos Across SSC Exams
Since SSC MTS and SSC CHSL share identical photo and signature specifications (200x230px for photo, 140x60px for signature), you can use the same resized files for both applications. However, SSC CGL has different dimensions (275x354px), so you will need separate files for CGL.
